Best contact lenses for 2023 based on user's ratings
Choosing the right contact lenses is not easy. While many people will recommend that you go to the ophthalmologist, you can never be sure that the contact lenses will suit you. Every person is different.
The five contact lens types we have selected are well moisturized and have great oxygen permeability . As a result, the lenses are very comfortable to wear, they fit well and don't irritate your eyes. The lenses are tested for all day use and they are guaranteed to not hurt your eyes.
Whether you own glasses and just want to try contact lenses , or you’re already an experienced contacts wearer looking for the best product on the market, this article will help you. We were focusing on the best contact lenses based on user's reviews.
Daily contact lenses
Why choose daily contact lenses?
Because it's the easiest and most practical form of wearing contact lenses .
When you are buying daily lenses, try to purchase a larger package. The overall price will be higher, but the price per unit will be much cheaper.
Another significant advantage is that you don't need to buy anything else – solution, a case, etc. – just the contact lenses and possibly eye drops to have at hand at any given time to drop into your eyes when they are feeling dry or irritated. It is not necessary to give them extra time for cleaning – just put them on your eyes in the morning and throw them away in the evening. Thanks to this advantage, they are ideal for sports, travelling or life in a dormitory.
In addition, you do not need to wear daily contact lenses every day. If you want to switch them with glasses, you simply do not take them with you and nothing happens. However, if you open the package of monthly or 14-day lenses, their use period starts, whether you have them on your eyes or not.
Daily contact lenses are also the “healthiest” contact lenses. There is no risk of wearing a poorly cleaned lens in the morning, decreasing your chance of getting an infection.

1-DAY Acuvue Moist Review
Daily contact Lenses 1-DAY Acuvue Moist by Johnson & Johnson are one of the most popular lenses worldwide. It is mainly due to the moisturizing ingredients they contain and thanks to which they can be comfortably worn all day. Most users appreciate that the lenses do not irritate or dry their eyes and some even forgot that they are wearing them during the day.
Daily lenses are also great because you don't have to buy a solution and a container to store them. You simply use them and then throw them into the bin (recycle and use plastic container 🙂 ) .Then the next morning you simply take a new pair.
1-DAY Acuvue Moist lenses have a UV filter that protects your cornea from dangerous ultraviolet rays. However, the lens doesn't cover the eye completely, so it is recommended to combine them with sunglasses for the perfect protection of your eyes.
If you are looking for comfortable and practical lenses for sports, travel or work, 1-DAY Acuvue Moist is a great choice.

DAILIES AquaComfort Plus REVIEW
If you are looking for contact lenses for everyday use that moisturize your eyes well, we can recommend our favourite, Dailies AquaComfort Plus from Alcon. These lenses are well rated by many users because they are an improved form of the Focus Dailies All Day Comfort lenses.
A friction-reducing lubricant is added to the solution in which the lenses are stored. That's why the lenses will get to the “right spot” on your eye without needing to blink or wait for the contact lens to fit into your eye.
While other contact lenses may dry out during the day, causing a dry and burning feeling in the eye, the moisturizing component is delivered when you blink, so your eyes will be sufficiently hydrated all day long without a moisturizing solution.

Weekly contact lenses
Advantages of wearing weekly contact lenses
Do you not want to wear daily contact lenses, because you want to use glasses from time to time? Are you convinced that you don't want lunar contact lenses ? Then there is the ideal 14-day contact lenses for you, which represent a compromise between practical daily and cost-effective monthly lenses.
Weekly contact lenses are perfect if you want to use glasses from time to time. However, you need to take into account the need for a case and the solution that you need for storing your lenses every day. Manipulating the lens always requires perfectly clean and dry hands to prevent possible inflammations. After removing the contact lens from the eye, it is necessary to wash it well between your fingers and completely immerse it overnight in the solution to clean the residual biomaterial.
In spite of a little more demanding care, handling and cleaning weekly contact lenses is easier than with monthly lenses.

Monthly Contact Lenses
When and why should you choose monthly contact lenses?
Monthly contact lenses should be chosen when you wear lenses regularly. But be aware that whether you wear them three times a month or every day, the 30-day expiration period must be followed. After the lenses has expired, you must discard them t and wear the new ones out of the package. Those who wear contact lenses occasionally should choose either daily lenses or 14-days lenses.
If you choose monthly contact lenses , you should take into account the higher maintenance requirements. These lenses must be thoroughly cleaned between your fingers and immersed in the solution after you remove them from your eyes. Therefore, with monthly contact lenses , there is a higher risk of you not being able to keep up with the hygiene routine and getting an eye infection.

Buyer's Guide – How to choose contact lenses?
When you are choosing contact lenses, the key properties that you want met from the contact lenses are:
-Sharp vision
-Enough moisture
-Oxygen permeability
-Good Price/Quality ratio
If you are going to wear lenses for the first time, it is best to consult your ophthalmologist or eye care professional.
You can also wear contact lenses for decoration. These are often coloured contact lenses or pattern lenses that allow you to change the colour of your iris or give you a crazy look. Prescription lenses need to be chosen with care and with respect toward your prescription.
Keep in mind that if you wear dioptric contact lenses , their first application should always be done with an eye specialist. They will also advise you on whether to buy bifocal, toric or spherical lenses, as well as the curvature or the number of diopters.
Do you find this to be too complicated for you? Let's take a look on the individual parameters in further detail.
Contact lenses are divided into types:
Bifocal and Multifocal contact lenses
These contact lenses serve to < strong> correct your eye’s defects, when vision is impaired both at close range and at a distance. They can have two or more zones to allow the eyes to move smoothly when focusing on distant or closer objects.
These lenses can help not only with poor vision, but also with eye fatigue or headaches.
Toric contact lenses
Toric contact lenses are designed for astigmatism correction . This being an eye defect in which the cornea or lens is irregularly curved.
Spherical and Aspheric contact lenses
Spherical contact lenses are most commonly used to correct myopia and hyperopia. Their surface is curved spherically, ie. in the shape of a sphere.
Aspheric contact lenses are very similar, but their edges are flattened and they have better optical properties. They correct myopia and farsightedness, but they are only suitable for light astigmatism and early presbyopia.
Contact Lens Parameters to Consider:
Curvature
This is an important indicator which gives us the curvature of the back side of the lens. When the lenses touch the cornea, it should fit to the cornea’s curvature. An eye doctor will give you advice on how curved your corneas are. You can find this on the box under the abbreviation BC. It is followed by a number.
Diameter
The diameter of the lens is given as a numeric value that indicates the width of the lens.
Number of diopters
Diopters of different types of lenses can always be found on the box, under the abbreviation PWR, D or DPT. This mark is followed by a number – the number of diopters, which is completed with + or -. Plus indicates far-sightedness and improves close-up vision. The minus marks myopia and improves distance vision.
What else should you focus on when choosing contact lenses?
Do you already know how many diopters you have, what kind of eye defect you have and the extent of your corneal curvature? Then you need to clarify a few other terms that cannot be ignored when buying contact lenses.
Be aware of how much you want to invest in lenses. Whether you prefer comfortable, daily lenses that you don't need to care for after you take them out or weekly/monthly lenses which come with additional care.
Daily contact lenses can be thrown away after use and you can wear completely new ones the next day. After removing the monthly contact lenses, place them in the appropriate box and pour in the contact lens solution to keep them clean and dry.
It is also necessary to know whether you will be better suited for contact lenses made from a hard or flexible material. If your eyes are sensitive, it is better to choose lenses with high water content and high oxygen permeability.
And, of course, be aware of the expiration date , especially if you are used to stocking up with the lenses. Expired lenses may lose some of their properties.
